Remploy has gained a reputation for providing high quality goods and services throughout our diverse range of business operations. Our aim is to protect the trust and confidence we have built up in our relationships with employees, government, customers and suppliers, and to continue to show commitment to the policies we have adopted.
We have always paid respect to environmental issues and are known for our responsible use of resources. We recently received an Energy Efficiency Accreditation Award in recognition of the high standards we have established both in the management and use of energy.
We aim for business excellence in all our activities, and are constantly seeking new ways to improve the services we offer.
Remploy has gained ISO 9001 accreditation and we are now working towards obtaining the environmental standard ISO 14001. We also count winning the RoSPA Gold Award for Occupational Safety as a major achievement, since it clearly reflects our concern for the working environment.
As Investors in People, we recognise the value of providing training and skills development for all employees. This is why we encourage as many as possible to achieve National Vocational Qualifications, with Barking, Bolton and Southampton all seeing employees gain NVQ's. Our Bolton site recently received an award from Electronics Yorkshire in recognition of its training programme. We are also developing a relationship with the National Skills Academy on Business Improvement techniques. All these initiatives help achieve our mission to ‘add value' to our employees skills.
CSR also called corporate citizenship, is a growing concept whereby organisations consider interests of society by taking responsibility for the impact of their activities on customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders, communities and other stakeholders, as well as the environment. This obligation is seen to extend beyond the statutory obligation to comply with legislation and has seen organisations voluntarily taking further steps to improve the quality of life for employees and their families as well as the local community and society at large. Working with Remploy can certainly help meet these needs but basically it is good business sense.
